The nursery is a vital part of our ministry. It gives parents an opportunity to be able to sit under the preaching and teaching of God’s Word without distraction. This ministry also provides an infant or toddler a clean, safe and loving environment which is a peace of mind to the member or guest entrusting us with their child’s care. We have a nursery for babies that range in age from newborn to 24 months. We have a special class within our Children’s Church for our 2 & 3 year olds.
Thus the sacrifice of nursery workers impacts almost every area of ministry. It cannot be overstated that nursery workers have a vital role in the ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. We appreciate all those who willingly sacrifice so as to make this ministry effective.
When you bring your little one to the nursery please leave a diaper bag and any special instructions or needs of your child.

Last Sunday was my turn in the Nursery to work.
My Heart wasn’t in it and my feelings were hurt.
A child from its mother did not want to part,
And cried a lot with its broken heart.
I prayed that soon the hour would end.
That I could relax, it feels good to be free-
I said once a month was too much for me.
That very next Sunday as I sat in the pew,
The sermon was good but visitors few.
Then came down a woman and her soul was saved,
And she was the mother of the crying babe.
Then I dawned on me that I had been a part
Of one being saved, giving God her heart.
From that day forward I would never
Dread working in the Nursery.
